Since 1993, the English Undergraduate Association has hosted social and academic activities, provided networking and volunteering opportunities, and has helped students succeed as English majors/minors. Our members are interesting people who are pursuing, for instance, a Ph.D. in English Literature, a Juris Doctor, journalism, writing, etc. We are a departmental organization affiliated with the English Department and the Berkeley Connect English Program. General membership is open to all those who are interested. Members of the EUA Board are English majors elected every year. Please check out our Events tab. We hope to see you!

We, the Board Members of the English Undergraduate Association, have been thinking critically about our organization and how we can make it better and specifically more inclusive. The EUA is meant to be a liaison between the English Department, graduates, and undergraduates. We recognize that the ‘”literary canon” is largely founded on patriarchal, White-centric, heterocisnormative and marginalizing conceptions . We recognize the Department is making moves towards a more inclusive and more accurate representation of English Literature.  We want to improve this organization and the Department in these aspects, and we welcome your thoughts and feedback as we go about changing for the better.

    It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s hard to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and visual
    appeal. I must say you’ve done a very good job with this.
